Miles has always been crazy about Aron Pet Food’s Healthy K9 Beef Chews. Since Miles was a gnawing-obsessed pup Aron Pet Food has been our favorite manufacturer of bully sticks. Their Healthy K9 chews are made locally from human-grade American and Canadian beef, all processed in Canada. Their chews are made organically, and are fully digestible, non-greasy and fat-free. Aron Pet Food does not use chemicals or high-heat treatments during processing, and they do not add any unnatural preservatives or flavorings.
As a puppy, Miles loved the Healthy K9 Veal Chews, which are small gentle chews for puppies and elderly dogs. As a young dog and adult, Miles’ all-time favorite treats are the Original beef chews, which are the thickest, hardest, yet most easily digestible bully sticks we’ve ever found — perfect for providing hours of relaxation for vigorous chewers. Thanks to three years of gnawing on these chews, Miles impresses our vet with his sparking clean teeth.

I am wondering if the beef chews have the same odor other bully sticks do making it difficult to hold for her or to bring along in the car. We give our Welsh odor free Barkworthie bully sticks but your beef chews look more substantial. Thanks

    Hello there.

I've tried a range, and these are consistently the least odorous. While all bully sticks will have some degree of meat-odor, I can honestly say I've never gotten a Beef Chew that causes my home to stink like a rotting barn!

The most likely reason for this is that Beef Chews are processed in Canada/US from Canadian/US food-grade beef. Almost all other beef bully sticks come from South America, where health standards aren't as regulated. Sometimes you are getting meat from sickly animals or older discarded meat, no wonder the smell… Unfortunate but true.

    Hope that information helps!

OK thanks! I have tried a range of products too, from Red Barn to Bully Sticks out of TN to Barkworthies, and my experience is if they are mostly smelly except for the no odor kind. . And a fun fact, all bully sticks are made out of bull penises….had an interesting conversation with josef at aron foods last week. I'll have to try beef chews for my Welsh! Thanks again!

Hi again, us welshie owners do make the rounds with chew items don't we?! And yes, I was aware of what bully sticks are. Haha!

Best story I have? An older woman at my training center was given one for her dog in class. She had never heard of them before. The teacher told her it was a bull penis chew. After class, the lady walked into the store, and loudly said, probably without thinking it over first, "I'd like more penises please! Those things are great!"
