My childhood dog Cinnamon and I grew up out in the boonies next to a national forest, so most of our walks were either on a gravel road passing by barns, fields, and endless looking dusty driveways, or on soft earthy trails in the beautiful Oregon rainforest. I treasure those memories and can still smell the freshness of the forest air. These days I am in a big city and still enjoy long hikes. I am lucky enough to live in a city with a lot of open space, trees, and water. In the summer, I love tossing on a backpack and going for an urban hike with Miles. Sometimes we go with dog and people friends, sometimes we get a bunch of errands done, other times, it is just the two of us enjoying the day.
