Git them Squirrels!

A month ago our Ginormous Hide-A-Squirrel toy arrived in the mail. Now there are many sizes of the Hide-A-Squirrel toy, but I’ve been holding out for the wildly popular ginormous one since Miles was a puppy. Now that he is an adult, Miles only goes crazy for really special toys. Although not evident by what he will sneakily consume on walks (evil bark chips!) adulthood has brought on some “standards.” I admit it, I love getting toys for Miles. So I was pretty excited to rip open the package of my most coveted dog toy (yes, my) and see if he’d enjoy it as much as I hoped he would. Turns out… Miles loves the squirrel tree toy. He enjoys getting the squirrels, one by one, out of the tree, taking his time not to do so too fast, then shaking the tree around and playing with the squirrels some more. If you visit us at home right now, you are sure to be offered a fuzzy squeaky irresistible little squirrel of your own to snorf on by the ever-generous Mr. Miles.

And check out the head-shaking action in the video:

My garden-savy Nana is always battling those pesky squirrels. She would be so proud.

I love this toy as much as Miles does. I am such a dork. But aren't the squirrels the cutest? Actually they look more like chipmunks don't they?

You're not a dork any more than we are – our motto if we ever bought that toy was "Go big or go home!". And yes, they do look like chipmunks, now that I think about it! Squirrels aren't striped. Also, I forgot to say that wood chips are the bane of my existence! Oliver is so low to the ground that he just snaps them right up. Thanks so much to the dozen neighbours that have their front yards covered with them.

No one would ever guess what size our dogs are based on some of the toys we get for them hmm?

    Oh bark chips… How I despise you…

I loved how methodically he removed them in the video, so cute! He sure looks handsome, always in proper coat, too. 🙂

Thanks Cassie! He still removes them that carefully every time — which is multiple times a day. I am pretty sure he could rip them out faster, but goes slow to "relish" the moment. Too funny.
