A while back I received some samples from Dexas. I had bought one of their basic collapsable travel bowls when Miles was a puppy (which we use on a regular basis), so I was no stranger to the handiness of such items. I have used each of the three new pieces of gear often over the last month, and am happy to report that I really like all of them.
This is the classic on-the-go dish, but lighter, and updated with a water bottle attachment and carabiner. It is the most compact and collapsable dish, great for any sort of outing. Even thought it is light weight, the dish material is nicely firm and won’t warp while your dog is drinking.
On weekends, I had been using the original dish (pic here). We often knocked the water dish over, and at agility matches, it would quickly fill with dirt. Having this one clipped to the crate is a relief on both counts. That said, I do have one warning: read the instructions before attempting to secure the dish to the crate. I took it to an agility event, and my friends and I spent ages fiddling with it to no avail. It was quite sad how hard we tried. Before the next event, I looked at the package, and felt silly because it is actually easy to secure to the crate. Lesson learned… Until the next time I skip the instructions.
