Miles’ First Big Dog Park

As I discussed previously here, going to dog parks is something I have been very careful about, for several reasons. I use my instincts to decide when I feel it is a safe idea. Recently on a not-rainy wet coast Sunday, I had a feeling it was time to do our first big dog park outing. Aside from a few bug bites, our experience went very well and we had a lot of fun. Miles is crazy for other dogs. For the hour and a half we were there, I no longer was on Miles’ radar as a life form. I think my presence served more of a check-in station. I guess it is difficult to compete with doodle-mixes in the zoomies department. This was Miles’ second experience with a large body of water too, and as you can see, he wasn’t really sold on it.
{  Whippet incoming!  }
{  “Okay, here I go, into the water!”  }
{  “Ick, maybe not…”  }
{  “Yeah, not so much.”  }
{  “No, no, come back!”  }
{  A man about DogTown town, Mr. Miles.  }

    I do so love your photos of Miles and wish we lived closer together. He is such a handsome boy and of course he possesses some of the genes of the number 1 welsh terrier in the country, Tommy!

    Cynthia, I feel the same way. Who knows, maybe I'll end up at a grad school or job closer by someday soon! The future could go many ways. And I want to hear more about your hilarious duo…
