Snowy Walks to the Park

That last post was supposed to help end all snow here in the Pacific Northwest! We got a bit of a break mid-late February, and then, the snow came back. Currently, the weather reports and slushy snow are in a samba dance. Radio DJs are afraid to use the word “snow” for fear of causing listeners sadness, and have instead been calling it “that white stuff.” Even if people here don’t know how to drive/function with a little snow, you’ve got to give us west coast folk credit for having an undyingly high tolerance for endless dreary rain. Clearly it is all about what you are used to! And this makes me laugh: I bought rain boot for the first time in my adult life because of the snow.

Rain, snow, ice, slush and/or shine, there is nothing quite like time outside with my best friend!

It is cold and wet and mucky, but we always have fun.

“Yay, it’s play time!”

Miles hops over crusty patches of snow to avoid the “crunch, mush wet cold” feeling. I think he looks like a bunny!

“More Please!”

Now that is a “play bow!” So expressive.

Pointer feet aren’t just for Pointers. Terriers know the pointer foot well. They might not be signaling location of prey though… They are more limey thinking, “the less feet I have on the ground at any time, the better!”

Now, we are still obviously having fun…. But as a reminder to the weather, we’d like this please:

Miles is so cute – he does look like a bunny hopping over the snow! I’m glad he can enjoy it, even if you are wishing for much warmer, greener days ahead!

He does! I love his bounding! (And then occasionally a face plant or two, haha)
